3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.Students will have understanding of basic shapes.
2.Students will have a completed drawing of identifiable objects that are all connected.
3.Students will have all objects outlined in black with pencil lines erased.
 
4. Objectives-
1.Start with one "doodle" somewhere on their paper.
2.The next object they draw should share a line of the 1st object.Students should then connect each drawing using a line from the mass of objects that are connected.
3.Students should fill entire 4.5x6 sheet of paper.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers, eventually fine point sharpie markers.
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Doodling, why we do it
2.What do our doodles mean?
3.How to use space
 

B. Development-

1.Examples artist created
2.Teacher created examples
3.Demonstration on whiteboard
 

C. Practice-

1.Begin by drawing one object
2.Next connect your next object to the first.
3.Continue adding to the mass of doodles.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.Half of paper space will be filled by the end of class.
2.Next class, students will have the page completed.
3.Third session, drawing outlined in sharpie and completed.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.Students may obtain a pass to come to the artroom after school to complete this assignment.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.Asking questions for understanding.
2.Observation of student progress.
3.Giving positive feedback for any changes that need to be made upon completion.
 

G. Closure-

1.Students will display and share their artwork for all to see and admire.
2.Will be notified on how we will use this project for another upcoming assignment.
 
7. Evaluation-
1.Are all objects identifiable and appropriate for school?
2.Were all lines outlined in black and pencil marks erased?
3.Was the entire space filled?
