Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Purple, orange, pink, black and brown

* Collage- a technique of composing a work of art by
pasting on a single surface various materials not normally associated with one another,such as newspaper clippings or parts of photographs

* mixed media-refers to a work of art made with more than one material.


 
3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.To show students how to make a unified collage.
2.To show students how to group different shades of one color to form a organized piece of art.
3.To show students how to create a mixed media work of art.
 
4. Objectives-
1.Students will arrange cut out a minimum of 12 pieces of magazine clippings to form a unified collage.
2.Students will repeat their color of choice using pictures that express it.
3.Students will relate other materials to add onto their finished collage covering up all the white spots.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Glue, magazine clippings, piece of 6 by 6 paper, buttons,envelope, feathers and ribbons
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

Introduction-

1.Look through a couple of magazines and cut out different shapes and sizes that show your color of choice.
2.Cut out a minimum of 12 pieces and place them in an envelope.
 

Closure-

1.Glue pieces layering one another forming a collage
2.glue ribbons and buttons onto the paper and set out for a couple days to dry.
