3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
The students will practice color mixing to achieve colors they used in the sketching process of the assignment. Students will apply the paint to the sculpture, while learning how to use various types of brushes and how to clean them properly.
 
4. Objectives-

The student will mix colors to match their sketch.

The student will apply the paint to the sculpture.

The student will select the proper type of brush for what they are painting and learn proper brush cleaning methods.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Sandpaper
Spackle Paste
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

Discuss color theory and how to mix colors. Lighter colors are first and add the darker color to it. Discuss why.
 

B. Development-

Show the two types of brushes, demonstrate how to clean. Demonstrate color mixing.
 

C. Practice-

Ask students how to get specific colors. What would need to be mixed? What would be first?
 

D. Independent Practice-

Students will mix colors to match their sketches and apply paint to their sculpture; making sure to choose the proper brush.
 

E. Checking for understanding-

Monitor and advise.
 

F. Closure-

Student must use two coats of paint on their sculpture.
 
7. Evaluation-
Sculptures will be evaluated on the if they properly match the initial sketch.
