1. Group discussion on what an interview is, and the steps that
go within the interview process
2. Go over the proper attire to wear, and body language to display
within the interview

5. Materials and Aids-
|
1. Pictures displaying proper attire to wear in an interview
2. Show a video regarding the do's and don'ts in an interview.
3. Show students the proper email to send after the interview.

6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
1. Group discussion on what students know about an interview and
what to expect
|
|
|
B. Development-
1. Show students pictures of what is acceptable in an interview
regarding attire.
2. Show students a video regarding the do's and don'ts of interview.
3. Show students the proper email to send after interview. |

C. Practice-
1. Students will find a partner and go follow a script, and do their
own interview
2. Students will complete a check list, making sure they complete
key things in regards to the interview.
3. Students will send emails to the teacher, this will act as the
follow up email after the interview. |

D. Independent Practice-
1. Partners will turn in check lists.
2. Students will write a paper in regards to what they have learned,
this will provide the teacher with knowledge of what the students
learned as well as if they need to touch on anything missed in the
group work.
3. Teacher will use email as a grade to show they know the proper
ways to follow up after the interview. |

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
Accommodations will be made by the special educator if needed. |

F. Checking for understanding-
1.The Teacher will use the check lists to see if the students follow
the necessary steps in the interview process.
2. A short quiz will be given the next day, touching on all of the
steps in the interview process. |

G. Closure-
1. Teacher will give the students a prompt to take home or work
on the computer. Students will send teacher an email via the prompt. |

7. Evaluation-
|
1. The short quiz will give the teacher an idea of areas if needed,
that might need to be worked on.
|

|
8. Teacher Reflection-
|
Students will now be able to attend an interview and now know the
proper ways to dress, their body language, as well as to follow up
with a well written email. |
