6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

Students will explore a reason that they should share through the adventures of the "Rainbow Fish". Sharing, caring and concern should be no problem.
 

B. Development-

1.Children will listen to the story "Rainbow Fish"
2.Students will take one shiny fin from the display fish to glue onto their fish.
3.Students will display their fish on the wall around the display rainbow fish.

 

C. Practice-

1.Pretend to be rainbow fish.

2.How do we talk to one another?

3.How do we play together?
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.Cutting out the rainbow fish.
2. decorating the rainbow fish
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.For those who cannot cut yet, cut their fish out for them.
2.Have all the decorations cut out and ready to glue.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

Teacher will ask;
1.Name some ways that we are all different.
2.Some ways that we are all the same.
3. How does sharing make us feel?
4. How does sharing make our friends feel?
 

G. Closure-

Sing the song "If you are happy and you know it" variety using words like friendly and/or kind.
