Teaching Methods-

1. Lesson Introduction-

1. Students will review jingles for parts of speech
2. Students will identify the parts of speech in P4 sentences.
 

2. Lesson Progression-

1. Identify how to use adjectives to create interesting sentences
2. Make a list of vocabulary choice words for a word wall
 

3. Guided Practice-

1. Students will work on using vocabulary word choice with friendly explanations to improve speeking and writing
 

4. Student Practice-

1. Write an expository essay to include descriptive words and improved sentence structure.
 

5. Learner Accommodations-

1. Students may review jingles with tape/headphones
2. Complete graphic organizers prior to writing
3. Discuss organizational patterns in graphic organizer with peers/teacher prior to writing

1. Idenify parts of speech when called upon by teacher
