Teaching Methods-

1. Lesson Introduction-

1.Review Letters A-H sound
2.Review letter Hh sound
3.Remind students that Halloween and holiday also starts with the H sound
 

2. Lesson Progression-

1.Read Alphatales Hh book.
2.Let each student point to a picture of something that starts with Hh on pages 14+15
 

3. Guided Practice-

1.Show students the paper they are about to work on.What is the picture of?
2.Review pictures. Have students draw an X on pictures that do not start with H.
3.Color then cut and paste the pictures to their house.
4. Review that one drop of glue is all that you need.
 

4. Student Practice-

1.Color the pictures that begin with the H sound.
2.Cut and paste pictures with H sound.
 

5. Learner Accommodations-

1.Help with the cutting if needed
 

6. Assessment-

1.correct pictures are glued to house
2.can name the pictures glued
 

7. Lesson Closure-

1. As they finish ask at least one or two of the names of the pictures that they glued.
 
Measuring Student Progress-
1.Monitor as coloring and pasting to make sure they are only working with the H pictures.
2. Ask when walking around a name of a picture they are working with.
