Expected Outcome Of This Lesson Plan-
To expose the children to the ABC's, specifically the letters in their first name, and also the letters- Kk, Ll, Mm & Ss to coinicide with our "Trick-or-Treating" for Letters/Sounds.


 
Teacher Objectives-
Given our theme for the week, ABC's, each child will recognize the first letter in his/her name and begin to discriminate between letters by participating in "I Do, We Do, & You Do" activities throughout the week.

THURS- Gather children, read- "Halloween ABC" Think/Talk Time

WED- Sing/Actions- "Five Baby Kangaroos," & "Lemon Countdown"
THURS- "Trick or Treating" for Letters- /Kk/Principal, /Ll/Office, /Mm/Cafeteria, & /Ss/Nurse

TUES- Each child will use play dough to cover pre-made letters- 1st letter of his/her name
WED- Each child will complete a Color,Cut,Paste Activity matching letters for "Trick or Treating"
THURS- Each child will complete his/her Halloween craft.
 

5. Learner Accommodations-

Teacher/Peer Modeling, Allow ample time to complete projects/activities, Assist as needed

 

6. Assessment-

Teacher will ask questions throughout and encourage responses from each child to ensure understanding.

 

7. Lesson Closure-

TUES- Gather children back to carpet to share completed project.
