1. Lesson Introduction-
1. Bell Work: Adverbs FCIM
2. Reading of poem: first with poet's voice and then as a choral reading.
3. Model annotation and use of checklist.
4. Model good introduction. |

1. Model poem by Robert Frost "Fire and Ice."
2. Model how to use the poetic analysis checklist.
3. Model how to write a good interpretative statement. Rather than actually physically doing it; have husband film it and play Movie Maker version of it. |

1.Practice now with poem in Springboard "Four Skinny Trees" pg. 29
2. Walk around and monitor progression.

1. Homework is to do a Tracy Chapman poem "Talking about a Revolution."
