is for this chapter. Please look at the screen (play 101 Homer Simpson's
Jobs on YouTube).
2. NT: That was really funny. What was the video about? That's right!
It was about Homer's jobs. What do you think we are going to talk
about today? That's right! Jobs!
3. KT: Now that we know this chapter's topic. Let's learn about this
chapter's Key Expressions. Let's listen to the Dialog in our books.
What Key Expressions did you hear? Please raise your hand and tell
me. Wow! You got all of them. Great job! |

do? He is a teacher. What does your mother do? She is a doctor. What
do you want to be?"

C. Practice-
1.NT: Explains the difference between "White" and "Blue" Color jobs.
2. I show a picture of an occupation and sentences describing the
job and students must guess what occupation I am describing Example:
"He works in a hospital. He helps people feel better." The answer
is- Doctor.
3.Students see a picture of an occupation. I ask them, " What is her/his
job?" Students respond, "He/She is a ______." |

D. Independent Practice-
1.KT: Now it's time for our last activity. We are going to play
a guessing game.
2. First, let's learn the rules. This is a team game. Each team has
a secret career that they should help the other teams guess by writing
4 clue sentences on a piece of paper. You have 5 minutes to do this.
Go for it!
3. Okay Everyone, Have you finished? Good! Now it's time to play the
game. We will demonstrate it for you. Jackie teacher is Team 1. I
give her a piece of paper with her secret job. She wrote down her
clue sentences. Now she will read them to the class, and everyone
must write their guesses on their whiteboard. The team(s)that get
the answer correct get a point. Team 1 will also get a point for giving
good clues. Are you ready? Let's start the timer. Remember, you have
1 minute to write your teams answer after the first team reads their
clues. |
|
|
E. Closure-
1. We are out of time for today, so let's see who won the guessing
game.
2. Did you have fun everyone? Next class, we will continue studying
jobs. See you next time. |
