1.Students will feel comfortable and confident using new vocabulary and sentence structures.
2. Students will actively participate in all activities (raising their hands and speaking audibly).
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Motivational Video clip, PowerPoint Presentation, Occupation Cards, 8 White Boards, and Dry Erase Markers.
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1. NT: Hello Class. How was your weekend? That sounds great! Alright,now it's time for class. Let's watch a video clip and see what our topic is for this chapter. Please look at the screen (play 101 Homer Simpson's Jobs on YouTube).
2. NT: That was really funny. What was the video about? That's right! It was about Homer's jobs. What do you think we are going to talk about today? That's right! Jobs!
3. KT: Now that we know this chapter's topic. Let's learn about this chapter's Key Expressions. Let's listen to the Dialog in our books. What Key Expressions did you hear? Please raise your hand and tell me. Wow! You got all of them. Great job!
 

B. Development-

1. NT: Please repeat after me everyone. "What does your farther do? He is a teacher. What does your mother do? She is a doctor. What do you want to be?"
2. KT: Now we are going to practice our Key Expression and vocabulary with a Interactive PPT. Are you ready?

C. Practice-

1.NT: Explains the difference between "White" and "Blue" Color jobs.
2. I show a picture of an occupation and sentences describing the job and students must guess what occupation I am describing Example: "He works in a hospital. He helps people feel better." The answer is- Doctor.
3.Students see a picture of an occupation. I ask them, " What is her/his job?" Students respond, "He/She is a ______."
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.KT: Now it's time for our last activity. We are going to play a guessing game.
2. First, let's learn the rules. This is a team game. Each team has a secret career that they should help the other teams guess by writing 4 clue sentences on a piece of paper. You have 5 minutes to do this. Go for it!
3. Okay Everyone, Have you finished? Good! Now it's time to play the game. We will demonstrate it for you. Jackie teacher is Team 1. I give her a piece of paper with her secret job. She wrote down her clue sentences. Now she will read them to the class, and everyone must write their guesses on their whiteboard. The team(s)that get the answer correct get a point. Team 1 will also get a point for giving good clues. Are you ready? Let's start the timer. Remember, you have 1 minute to write your teams answer after the first team reads their clues.
 

E. Closure-

1. We are out of time for today, so let's see who won the guessing game.
2. Did you have fun everyone? Next class, we will continue studying jobs. See you next time.
