1. Student will be aware of the six major consonants that exist in English, but not Japanese.
2. Students will be able to identify "f" by listening and produce it when speaking.
3. Students will be able to identify "v" when listening and produce it when speaking.
4. To hear and produce "s" sounds
5. To hear and produce "d" sounds

A. Introduction-

1. Introducing Six English Consonants
2. Why these consonants are important
Today we are going to be practicing four more English consonants.
During our first session, we will be dealing with only two.
1. "s"
2. "d"
 

B. Development-

1. Diagnostics test
2. Listening to "f" sound alone and in words
3. Listening to "v" sound alone and in words
4. Listening exercises for "s" sound alone and in words
5. Listening exercises for "d" sound alone and in words
 

C. Practice-

1. Producing "f" sound alone and in words
2. Producing "v" sound alone and in words
 

D. Independent Practice-

1. Create words and phrases using "f" sound
2. Create words and phrases using "v" sound

1. Today we have looked at the six consonants that are used in English, but not in Japanese.
2. We practiced hearing and using the "f" and "v" sounds in speech.
3. Tomorrow we will be practicing the "s," "d," "r," and "l" sounds.
4. In the next session, we will be practicing the "r" and "l" sounds.
