3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1. Establish English class behavioral expectations.
2. Students will actively participate in class activities.
3. Students will learn this chapter's vocabulary and Key Expressions.
 
4. Objectives-
1.Students will know their teachers' names.
2. Students will be able to use Key Expressions to introduce themselves to their teachers and their classmates.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Stopwatch, 2 microphones, and classroom management tools (bell, sticker chart, yellow and red cards, etc).
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1. NT:Hello Everyone! We are your new English teachers. KT: Hi! I'm Lisa. NT: Hello. My name is _______________.
2. KT: First we are going to go over class rules. Then we will play a fun game.
 

B. Development-

1.NT and KT: Skit with teacher and student. X is the teacher. NT is the student. The student behaves badly. She pushes her classmates, she doesn't raise her hands, she argues, she doesn't bring her book, etc. X: Class, is _______________ being a good student? What did she do wrong? What should she do? Okay, let's watch again. This time the student is well-behaved.
2.If you are good. You get a sticker. Once you get all of these stickers, you get to have a party. Isn't that great?!
3. But...If you are bad...a sticker will be taken off the sticker board. You get one warning (yellow card) before the sticker is taken away. If you see the red card, you loose a sticker. So you should be very good and you can have a fun party.
 

C. Practice-

1. Let's go over our classroom rules. Repeat after me,"
2. Very good! Now let's learn a chant. "T: Peanut butter. Peanut butter. S: Jelly. Jelly." Let's learn another, "T : 1,2 S: Eyes on You."
3. Now we are ready to learn to introduce ourselves.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.The class is divided into two groups. Each group forms a circle with a teacher in the middle. The teacher selects one student to start the game. He/she turns to the person on their left and says, "Hello. I'm_____. Bye." Then it's that students turn to say the Key Expressions to the person on their right. It continues until the circle is completed.
2. Teachers then tell the students that the two teams are going to have a competition. Whichever team can finish in the shortest amount of time wins the game.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.If students don't understand all of the English, the Korean teacher translates the English into Korean.
 

F. Closure-

1. Okay Everyone, Please go back to your seats.
2. Did you have fun today? Good! It was great meeting you. NT: What is my name? X: What is my name?
3. Bye!
