1.Students should be able to say how the weather is outside.
2. And they should know what clothes they have to put on before they
can go outside in the cold.

|
Dream English's Weather Song for Kids (The Sun Comes Up!) and Tom
and Jerry you-tube video (episode 5 "The Snow Brawl"), and puppet
with clothes |

6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
1.Hello, friends.
2.Are you happy today? Are you sad? (I show them happy and sad with
my facial expressions as I ask the questions).
3. Raise your hand if you are happy. Raise your hand if you are sad.
Okay! Good job, everyone. |

B. Development-
1.We are going to sing a song. So everyone, stand up. Sing with
me!
2. "The sun comes up, up, up, the rain comes down down down,how's
the weather?, It's sunny,It's raining, It's snowing.
3.After singing the song, we learn the motions. We try singing it
with the motions (this is just to introduce today's lesson about the
weather). |

C. Practice-
1.What did you hear during the song? That's right! (I write down
the key expressions on the board).
2. Now, let's learn some new words.
3. I show them my puppet that only is only wearing underclothes. I
ask the class, "Can she go outside and play in the snow?" That is
right. She doesn't have clothes. Can you help me dress her? Okay!
I hold up her pants, and I ask the class, "What is this?" Very good!
(Then I put the puppet's pants on.) I repeat this exercise until the
puppet is dressed. |

D. Independent Practice-
1.Alright, class. We are going to do some pair work. So please turn
to page 93 in your work book.
2. We are going to dress this girl so that she can go outside and
play with her friends. Her clothes are on page 45.
3.You need to tell your partner, "Put on your (article of clothing)."
Then your partner says, "Put on your (article of clothing)."
4. Now that we are finished, we are going to watch Tom and Jerry.I
want you all to watch and be able to tell me what you see. We watch
the Tom and Jerry clip. |

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
1.Directions will be repeated in Korea to ensure that the children
are comprehending the instructions. |

F. Checking for understanding-
1.The children tell me what they saw in the video (snowing, gloves,
hat, scarf, snowman, January, cold, etc). |

1.I give the class stickers if they were good.
