6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Holding Flashcards and showing them to the students
2.Asking students about teacher's his/her own job ("What is my job?")
3.Telling the advantages of learning jobs
 

B. Development-

1.Writing jobs' names' on the board
2.Introducing the jobs with the help of Flashcards
3.Telling about the workplaces and duties of jobs'
 

C. Practice-

1.Matching Flashcards with the jobs' names
2.Matching jobs with their workplaces and duties
3.Talking about students' family members' jobs' and trying to introduce the jobs (what they do)
4.Role-playing in the class - giving a different job to each student and making them to play the
role of that job
5.Asking questions to each other about their future jobs
6.Doing prepared worksheets
7.Listening songs about jobs
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.Group work - students show Flashcards to their classmates and talk about jobs, ask questions to each other about jobs
2.Students write a short paragraph individually about the jobs they learned.(where they work, what they do)
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.If students do not know how to work with groups, the teacher shows the Flashcards to the students and students answers the questions.
2.If they can not get the idea of Flashcards, first students try to do worksheets, guess the jobs then they study with Flashcards
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.Students do the handout exercises individually
2.Asking questions to the students to receive feedback
 

G. Closure-

1.Teacher writes the new vocabularies with the letters in the wrong order. Students must rearrange the letters to form the correct word.
2.Teacher talks about the topic of the next lesson.
 
7. Evaluation-
1.Teacher gives worksheet to evaluate the students' understanding.
2.Teacher asks students to prepare a presentation to introduce their dream job for the next lesson.
 
8. Teacher Reflection-
Flashcard activity was very effective. Students matched the pictures with Flashcards quickly. But the group work activity took the most of time in the lesson, there was a noisy environment.
