3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-

1. Have students learn about alcohol abuse
2. Learn about the numerous rosks brought upon by drinking |

4. Objectives-
|
1. The students will work in groups to work on one consequence/risk
of drinking.
2. Students will have to research additional information, such as
statistics, and outcomes of each risk.
3. After doing additional research each group will make a powerpoint
that includes pictures, statistics, and facts.
4. Each group will present powerpoint to the classroom, teaching the
other students about their particular consequence. |

5. Materials and Aids-

| The students will need computer access to gather information, and
to create their powerpoints. |

6. Procedures/Methods-
|
|
A. Introduction-
1. Watch Digital Story that the teacher created.
2. Show students newspaper articles of recent studies about alcohol.
3. Pull articles from online or newspapers on car accidents that were
alcohol related. |

B. Checking for understanding-
1. Students will be graded based on their powerpoint, and knowledge
presented during presentation.
2. Each student in group will receive the same grade. |

C. Closure-
| 1. After all students present their powerpoints, there will be an
open discussion to talk about the risks and consequences of drinkng.

7. Evaluation-
|
| 1. Each student will be evaluated based on the material presented
in the powerpoint and class discussion. |
