2. To educate the learner to know the good and bad of the food label.
3. To educate the learner to be able to read the food label.
 
4. Objectives-
1. In groups and have the learners practice reading the food label.
2. In groups have the learners present what they learned about the food label (the good and the bad).
3. In groups have the learners determine if the given food label is nutrient dense or high nutrients.
 
5. Materials and Aids-

6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1. Briefly discuss the food pyramid.
2. Discuss what each area in the food label means.
3. Discuss a food label example.
 

B. Development-

1. Go over a practice food label.
2. Discuss the good and bad things on the food label.
3. Discuss whether or not if it's a good food to consume.
 

C. Practice-

1. Have the learners get in groups and practice on their own food label provided.
2. Have the learners discuss the good and bad areas on the food label.
3. Have the groups share whether or not it's a good food to consume.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1. For homework have the students find a food label and home and complete questions given about the food label.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1. To check for progress have the students turn in their homework assignment the next day and check if everyone has a clear understanding.
 

G. Closure-

1. Ask and discuss why it is important to know the food label before consuming foods.
