FOR STUDENTS:
index cards for questions
definition sheet for homework
male matching worksheet
female matching worksheet

FOR TEACHER:
STD fact sheet
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Ask students what they're beliefs are about STDs.
2. Ask Students to give their explanation as to ways to catch STDs

 

B. Development-

1. List all STDs from sheet and go over each one's definition
2. Explain how they are transmitted
3. Go over different treatment options
 

C. Practice-

Review how contacted by asking questions and have students answer verbally. (Refer to sheet)
 

D. Independent Practice-

Students are to work on matching worksheet and turn in before end of class
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

Because this is a touchy subject have students take one index card each and write any respectable question they may have that they do not want to ask out loud. Go around and collect these yourself. After you have them all mix them up and read them out loud and answer any questions or concerns for students.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

Review by asking more questions from sheet.
 

G. Closure-
