white board, pictures of actresses with finger waves, Milady's Standard Cosmetology, and a mannequin.
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Ask the students where have you last seen finger waves in a hair style?
2.Introduce the topic with a picture of current actress with fingerwaves.
 

B. Development-

1.Explain while demonstrating what a finger wave looks like and its parts.
2.Explain while demonstrating what a pin curl looks like and its parts.
 

C. Practice-

1.Students will drape the mannequin and practice the wave and a curl.
2.Students will be able to define the parts of a finger wave and pin curl.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.Practice these two topics on the mannequin.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.Use the text to show with pictures the vocab words.
2.Demonstrate on mannequin what the parts and placing of a finger wave and pin curl.
 

F. Checking for understanding-
