A. Introduction-

1.investigate career on web
2.discuss career with counselor
3.find details about career on YouTube or in Career Vocational Catalogs
 

B. Development-

1.practice in class how you will present yourself on the phone and in person.
2.practice in class using the technology device you will use on site
3.create an outline of events and how you will achieve the knowledge you need to reach your career goal
 

C. Practice-

1.watch videos about your career
2.practice speaking to individuals about the career, involve other teachers, counselor, or principal to role play
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.outline, script
2.deadlines for practice with others met
3.deadline for job shadow and video
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.aide will accompany and help video tape parts that involve students
2.in class practice and script written or typed
3.non verbal students may have a partner
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.completed video that coincides with rubric
2.viewing of video with question and answer time
3.completed outline of career transition plan
 

G. Closure-

1.implement into IEP
2.Share results at IEP meeting and career counseling session.

1.plan is implemented senior year
2.plan is changed senior year and new plan stated in IEP
