1.Watch to see if students are understanding directions
2.Students should be able to use different sensory motor skills
 
5. Materials and Aids-
1.Oreo cookies
2.Cream Cheese
3.Chocolate chips
4.Bowl
5.Spoon
6.ziplock bags
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

Chocolate Truffles are a sweet and delectable snack all year round and especially during the holidays. They are easy to make and low in cost. Chocolate truffles make a great desert after a big meal and taste amazing!
 

B. Development-

1.First crush oreos in plastic ziplock bag, until it is a fine sand like texture
2.Then mix oreos and cream cheese together well.
3.Make little balls out of the mixture of oreos and cream cheese
4.Melt chocolate chips
5.Dip balls in melted chocolate
6.Place in freezer for 2-3 hours
 

C. Practice-

1.Watch to make sure students are following instructions
2.Guide students when they are caught behind or need help
 

D. Checking for understanding-

1.Ask students what shapes they see
2.Ask students if they can recognize the different colors of the materials being used
3.Ask students to touch, feel, and recognize different textures
 

E. Closure-

1.Have students sample their edible creations
2.Use sensory learning skills to teach students about their 5 different senses of sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch

 
7. Evaluation-
1.Ask questions after assignment to evaluate what the students have learned
