2 Dice Per. group of students
Big Furry Dice
 
5. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Greeting
a. What day is it today?
b. How is the weather?
c. How are you?
2.Magic word and counting reviewHow many (Type of Fruit) do you want?
a. Using the big furry dice tell us how many of x they want.
5 apples please.

B. Development-

1.Talk!Talk!
a. Students open their books to pg. 48
b. What do you see?
c. Take out the cards from pg. 149
d. Review the fruits.
In this activity- 1 player is a fruitseller and the other is the buyer.
e. Buyer takes a card and says "apples" please
f. Seller than ask- How many "apples"?
g. Buyer rolls the dice and says that number. (11 or 12 are out and the player loses their turn.)
h. The player than marks that number on the board as theirs taking it out of the game. Th
i. The winner is the player with the most numbers marked on the pg.
 

C. Practice-

1.Talk and Draw
a. Students walk around and practice the dialog from the game with their friends.
b. This time after one ask "How many "apples"? the friend responds by drawing the right number of fruits in their book.
2.Sing!Sing!
a. Students listen to the song 2 times.
b. Students work over the song line by line.
c. Students sing the song along with the CDrom.
