6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-
Give the students directions that are confusing and then have them
explain why they could not do what you wanted them too. |
|
|
B. Development-
Explain the game of telephone. One person tells another person a
message by whispering it in the other person's ear. This is done all
the way to the end of the people playing. |
|
|
C. Practice-
Have a small group, maybe 3-4 students, sit next to one another
and relay the message to each person. Then see if they can do the
directions. |
|
|
D. Independent Practice-
Have students play the game with the help of the aide or a teacher.
The student can tell another student what to do and see if the students
can do that. |
|
|
E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
For some students that have a hard time hearing the directions the
game can be played in a quieter room, or repeated as necessary. |

F. Checking for understanding-
If the student does the directions correctly then the understanding
was good. |

Once the game is understood can the students give directions that
have thing to do and increase the directions to two things. |

|
7. Evaluation-
|
The students were able to listen, repeat, and do the direction correctly.
Now the game will have 2 directions and see if the students can do
the directions correctly. |
|
|
8. Teacher Reflection-
