2. Content-
Names of the following colors: blue & yellow
 
3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1. The students will indicate the color given, "Show me (the color Blue or yellow).
2. The students will have to name the colors Blue & Yellow verbally by themselves, at the end of the lesson.
 
4. Objectives-
1.The learner will be able to match items of the same color when the teacher says, "This is (color name), show me (color name)."
2.be able to sort these two colors (Blue & yellow) amongst other prime colors:(Red,Blue,Yellow,Green)
3.be able to select between different colors these two colors (Blue & yellow)
 
5. Materials and Aids-
1.Educational tools:(Greostacks),
2. Attribute blocks and shapes in the colors given, Toys,Fruits.
3. 2 small boxes labeled with ( blue & yellow) and SHAPES, TOYS FRUITS different colored (sorting colors)
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Today and the following days we are going to look at (Blue & Yellow). We are going to find things or Objects that are (Blue & Yellow).
2.next week we are going to sort the colors Blue 7 Yellow
 

B. Development-

1. Teacher will show a card or Objects with the color on it and say, "This is (BLUE)." Then the teacher will go through the blocks and shapes in front of the student saying, "This is (BLUE)." Blocks and shapes of one additional color will be put on the table in front of the student, but the name will not be given. The teacher will again say, "This is (BLUE)." Then teacher will pick up another block/shape and say "This is (BLUE)." Then picking up one of the "YELLOW" color blocks/shapes, the teacher will say, "This is NOT (BLUE)," and put it aside.

2.Next week the Teacher will show a card or Objects with the color on it and say, "This is (BLUE)." Then the teacher will go through the blocks and shapes in front of the student saying, "This is (YELLOW)." 2. Blocks and shapes of one additional color will be put on the table in front of the student, but the name will not be given. The teacher will again say, "This is (YELLOW)." Then teacher will pick up another block/shape and say "This is (YELLOW)." Then picking up one of the "RED" color blocks/shapes, the teacher will say, "This is NOT (YELLOW)," and put it aside.
 

C. Practice-

1.After modeling by the teacher with one color, the student will be given an opportunity to practice "give me/show me/point to/etc. (Blue or Yellow)" as error-free at first with only the correct color of blocks/shapes/ objects available for choosing. The teacher will then add blocks/shapes/objects of one other color and after modeling will ask the student "give me/show me/point to/etc.(Blue or Yellow)." If the student hesitates or starts to pick up the wrong color, the teacher will guide the student to the correct color There will be numerous trials until the student is able to make the correct choice in at least 4 out of 5 trials.
 

D. Independent Practice-

Play different games to see weather the students have assimilate the two colors BLUE & YELLOW.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.Students who are higher functioning can be told the name of two cards and then be told to "Put the Blue & Yellow blocks/shapes/ objects in this box, the (Blue & Yellow) blocks/shapes in this box, etc." Students who can talk will also be expected to say the color word when shown the color card/ objects /Shapes ("What color is this?" after the teacher has said, "This card is (BLUE & YELLOW)."
2. sort the color Blue and Yellow amongst these colors (Red, Blue, Yellow,Green)and put them in 2 box with labeling Blue & Yellow.
3. match the color BLUE and YELLOW to objects/ shapes
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.After student has had time to practice independently, the teacher can again ask, "Show me (Blue & Yellow)."
2.sort the color Blue and Yellow amongst these colors (Red, Blue, Yellow,Green)and put them in 2 box with labeling Blue & Yellow.(Independently)

G. Closure-

1.Praise and congratulates them for their performances.

2.the students for "You did a good job of matching (Blue& Yellow) today! next day we will practice again and maybe add another color later."
