1. Topic-
Teaching children who do not have a computer at home how to use paint.
 
2. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
To enable the use of the paint program to the best of it's abilities.
 
3. Objectives-
1.To be able to use the filler function in paint.
2. Understand how to change colors.
3.To be able to print their piece of work at the end, having created a colorful piece.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
The resources needed will examples of artworks and 15 computers to accommodate the 15 pupils.
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Show different examples of artworks to inspire children
2. explain what it is we will be doing today.
3.discuss the aims and objectives fo what it is we expect to achieve today.
 

B. Development-

1.Firstly show the children how to get open the program paint.
2. Secondly show how to use the paint program and the different functions within it.
3. Thirdly show how to print the work once it is complete.
 

C. Practice-

Now ask the children to follow you as you go through these steps and once they have opened the paint program and understood the different functions allow them o create their own piece of work.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.once this is done explain to the children that they will have to do.
2. Explain they must create colorful piece of work and then print it
3. the work will be judged on how colorful it is.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1. if pupils quickly grasp how to use paint and complete the project before the end of lesson then there is an extended activity of where they must try there best to recreate a picture of an elephant on paint
2. if children on the other hand are struggling more one to one support will be given.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.check for understanding by how many children have actually manage to print of their works and create a colorful painting.
 

G. Closure-

Explain what we did today and congratulate everyone on what they have achieved.
 
7. Evaluation-
1.If every child has managed to print off and create a colorful piece of work then then the objectives of the lesson have been achieved.
