2.students will learn to match capital letters with small letters
3.students will learn to write the letters
 
4. Objectives-
1.students will be able to identify lower case letters and upper case letters.
2.students will be able match an upper case letter with a small letter.
3.students will be able to write the letters of the alphabet upper and lower case
 
5. Materials and Aids-
You will need worksheets to help your students identify and write small letters, capital letters, and flash cards to match the capital and small letters.
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.say alphabet with students
2.show students the difference between upper case and small letters.
3.match the upper case with it's correct small letter.
 

B. Development-

1.the upper case letter will sound alike as the small even though they look different.
2.write the upper case and small letter while saying it.
 

C. Practice-

1.work on upper case letter
2.work on small letters
3.match upper case letter with the correct small letter
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.practice with a partner on the difference of letters.
2.be able to complete the upper and lower case worksheet.
3.be able to match upper case with small letters with the flash cards.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.if a student has language barrier then I would work with them independently until they get to the point where they understand.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.they understand the difference of the letters.
2.the can write accurately the letter of the alphabet.
3.they tried their best on the worksheets and put big effort in it.
 

G. Closure-

1.play a game where students have to go on the board and match flash cards that have upper case and small letters.
 
7. Evaluation-
1.see if students do understand the letters of the alphabet.
2.test students to see what they know and what they o not know or understand.
 
8. Teacher Reflection-
the activities are good for the students to be able to learn the difference between an upper case letter and lower case letter and testing them to see what they know is good too that way I can work more on the parts that they do not understand.
