1.Understand the term transportation.
2.Become familiar with the many forms of transportation.
3.To be able to label and connect the types of transportation to its environment.
 
4. Objectives-
1.Students will listen to story about the forms of transportation and answer questions.
2.Students will place the vehicle in its environment.
3. Student will complete a craft of their choice.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Transportation Book
Model vehicles
Pictures of environments
Craft template of airplane, car, school bus, sailboat and train.
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Attention gaining: If you can hear me clap your hand. Do what I do. ( silly dance, clapping hands, funny words)
2. Transportation story
3. Craft activity
 

B. Development-

1. Display model vehicles and environment
2. Show and demonstrate where each vehicle belong
3. Have students repeat
 

C. Practice-

1. Have student practice placing vehicle in environment
2. Repeating small sentences
ex. The airplane fly.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.Placing model vehicle on to proper environment
2. Put craft together
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.Pre cut crafts
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1. Name of the model vehicle.
2. Show the environment and ask for vehicle that goes in that environment.
 

G. Closure-

1.Clean up
2. Display crafts
3. Song: The Wheels on the Bus
 
7. Evaluation-
1. Check and evaluate if students can name vehicle and place in proper environment.
