The Alphabet
 
2. Content-
The letters, vowels and consonants, new vocabulary.
 
3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.At the end of the unit, the students will know the alphabet, animals and colours.
2.They will be know how to pronounce what they have learned.
 
4. Objectives-
1.The students will be able to write all the letters in the order of the alphabet.
2.The students will be able to know which letters are called as vowel or consonant sounds.
3.The students will be able to recognize nearly 25 new vocabularies.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Computer, different coloured cards, a song, some pictures.
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.The teacher comes class and greet the class.
2.She asks the students how are they and explains what they will learn in that class.
 

B. Development-

1.The teacher puts some colourful cards which represent the letters on the board, then she starts reading them aloud.(Visual)
2.The students start listening to a song about the alphabet in which each letter is taught with a new word.(Auditory)
3.The new words from the song are written on the board.
 

C. Practice-

1.Every students gets worksheet which is full of words with missing letters.
2.The teacher writes the words from the worksheet on the board, afterwards she tell the class that they have 10 minutes at most. The students try to fill in the blanks in the worksheet.
3.After time is up, the teacher asks the class if there are any volunteer to fill in the blanks of any words they want on the board.(Kinaesthetic)
 

D. Checking for understanding-

1.The teacher repeats the alphabet, new words and ensures that everyone can do it.
 

E. Closure-

1.The teacher express that the lesson of the day is over.
2.She thanks them all for being there to learn something and she adds that they are very good. She says to them goodbye.
 
8. Teacher Reflection-
Please, find two new words for each letter, try to learn them and please revise what we have done today. Have a nice day.
