3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.Recognize different cultural patterns of interaction and greetings.
2-Use the new language inside and outside the class.
3-Knowing how the Arab people greet each other in the Arab countries.
 
4. Objectives-

By the end of this lesson students will be able to
1.Greet each others using Arabic

2.Knew different types of greetings during the day.

3.Introducing themselves and their names in Arabic

6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

I greet the students using Arabic. I try to make them repeat.
 

B. Development-

1. I present the different greetings using the PowerPoint presentation or role play.
2-I drill pronouncing the greetings (Whole class/rows or groups/ individuals)
3-I introduce my self in Arabic
4 I get my students to introduce themselves in Arabic
 

C. Practice-

1.I get my students come one by one in front of the class to greet the class and introduce himself / herself.
2.Students work in pairs greeting each other. I go through to check and give help.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

I write each of the students name in Arabic on a card board and have him fold it as a v shape and place it on his desk.
The next time I bring the names in English on cards and play a matching game between their names in Arabic and English(this will help them memorize and recognize their names).
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.Students practice the greetings at home.
