2. create the future proche and use effectively with Gr. level vocabulary
3. Be able to apply recognize forms when heard verbally
4. Basic understanding of new concepts (contractions)
 
4. Objectives-
1.Students come to board and create sentences of the above.
2. Students apply knowledge of forms and identify them when heard, filling in the blanks on a listening exercise
 
5. Materials and Aids-
white/black board

6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

Students up and moving to boards at front of class, creating and recreating phrases
 

B. Development-

Teacher demonstrates how 'aller' is easily changed to 'future' and how vocab and 'contractions' can be added. Creating more complex sentences.
 

C. Practice-

Students attempt on board as a class. Applying numerous possibilities, discussing problems.
 

D. Independent Practice-

-Students complete listening exercise, reinforces sentence structure and vocab., and adds an oral component.
-Students complete handout with pictures, applying the knowledge and proving understanding of correct conjugations and sentence structure, as well as applying new concept (contractions)
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1. I read slowly and repeat instead of tape script.
2. Some students are given the verb forms and are allowed to draw lines of write numbers to fill in the blanks.
3. A lot of visual learning.
4. Pictures are drawn and teacher aids with sentence formation for handout.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1. Student participation Page
2. Listening activities are self assessed if for practice and a general assessment of hands is completed, or are teacher assessed, collected and handed back
 

G. Closure-

1. Individual worksheet with pictures and sentences is completed, handed in and marked and returned with comments. Students share a few sentences as they complete to help and motivate others.

-variety of conjugations used
-vocabulary included and used correctly
-contractions attempted and match masc/fem or plural
