The lesson will introduce the parts of the body with a quick review
of sports from the previous day's lesson. |

2. Content-
|
Vocabulary will cover all major parts of the body with an emphasis
on how each one works. The lesson will also include a short review
of more specific sports and activities. |

3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
|
1.Students will be able to complete the warm-up in a timely manner.
2. Students will gain greater knowledge of the vocab related to the
parts of the body and sports. |

4. Objectives-
|
Students will be able to demonstrate their ability to describe what
parts of the body do and where they are located through complete participation
in the activities listed below.

6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
Students will complete a daily warm-up upon entering the classroom
while teacher checks HW. Teacher will review the sports and verbs
mentioned in the warm-up and homework assignment with students. Students
will then review the answers with the teacher. |
|
|
B. Development-
1.Teacher will present the body parts to students, and students
will practice the vocabulary by saying them aloud while touching the
part of their bodies which corresponds to the word.
2.Students and teacher will sing "TĂȘte et Epaules" to further retain
the new vocab.

|
C. Practice-
Students will then practice the vocab with another song, "Dansez",
complete a short labeling activity and the class will translate the
chorus of the song together.

|
|
D. Independent Practice-
Once the vocab has been explained and repeated along with the catchy
songs, teacher will assign students to groups, and each group will
be assigned a specific area of the body in which to draw the part(s)
and describe the parts and/or the functions of these parts. The students
will then present it to their peers. |
|
|
E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
Students are seated to enhance their learning. Special needs students
are placed toward the front of the classroom, and the teacher projects
all information on the screen to enable students to follow along.
Group work and a variety of activities including aural, visual, musical
and kinesthetic practice will help cater to their specific learning
styles and preferences.

F. Checking for understanding-
After the presentations, students will practice the vocab through
a simple "Thumbs up, thumbs down" exercise.
|

|
G. Closure-
After checking for understanding, teacher will assign new homework
that reinforces concepts learned in class, and if time permits, she
will explain the HW directions. |
