3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.To understand and remember the meanings of fifteen rudimentary French vocabulary words.
2.To master the accent and pronunciation for each vocabulary word.

4. Objectives-
1. To demonstrate memorization of the French vocabulary words meanings by matching the words communicated verbally by the teacher to the items around the school that they visually represent.

5. Materials and Aids-
Each student needs a cell phone that has a camera and voice recording capabilities. Also necessary are the items around the school linked to the vocabulary terms.

6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

The first day of the lesson plan will consist of introducing the fifteen new vocabulary words to the students. These will be taught using pictures and a definitions sheet handout.

B. Development-

1. The first class will be spent reviewing the words, understanding their definitions, and viewing pictures linked to the vocabulary words.

C. Practice-

1. The second day of class will utilize the mobile technology.
2. The fifteen vocabulary words will be read aloud in French, clearly and slowly.
3. The students will record this oral dictation on their cell phones.

D. Independent Practice-

1. Students will be asked to walk around the school and take pictures of the vocabulary items on their cell phone.
2. There should be one picture for each vocabulary word read aloud.
3. They will have 25 minutes to do so, or return to the classroom when they believe they have taken all fifteen pictures.

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1. By being in a group of two, the partners can help one another to correctly photograph all 15 items.
2. Also, it must be made sure that each vocabulary word does have a visual representation in the school, somewhere that is not difficult to find.

F. Checking for understanding-

1. To check for understanding the pairs of students will display to the teacher their fifteen pictures.
2. While displaying each picture the students must dictate, in French, the vocabulary word they believe to be associated with the picture.
3. The teacher will mark how many pictures the pairs identified correctly, and the correctness of their pronunciation.

G. Closure-

1. To wrap up the lesson plan, the students will learn their score on the picture-taking which will indicate to them their memorization of the terms, or lack thereof.
2. Also, the teachers will display the correct identifications of each vocabulary word up on a PowerPoint screen, so students can see where they were incorrect.

7. Evaluation-
1.Progress can be measured most easily by looking at the scores of pairs and determine if, for the most part, students seemed to have identify the vocabulary words correctly.
2. Also from the first to the second day of class there should be progress in pronunciation. The repetition of the voice recording should ingrain in the students the accent and correct pronunciation of each word.
