A. Introduction-
Warm-up: TWE pR30, Quick Start (4 minutes)

B. Development-
PowerTeach, Let students first HEAR vocabulary by clicking the
appropriate speaker icon, and then let them SEE the tern by clicking
on another part of the screen. Several students can be called up
one by one to do this (they do like to click on the SmartBoard)

Have volunteers read through the conversation for the class. Then
listen to the conversation on quia books.
Complete activities A-B
Listen to Lectura "Los deportes de equipo.
First, answer the question aloud as a class for Antes de leer. Remind
students to use reading strategies: look for key words, words you
already know, vocabulary words, cognates, use context clues, pictures,
and the titles/subtitles.
While reading, make sure to contemplate the Durante la lectura question
as well as the Reading Check questions.
Complete activities A-D with a partner, then review answers as a
class.

C. Practice-
1. PowerTeach slide 11 (Rompecabezas) Vocabulary recognition. Let
one student stand at the board to move colored tiles to the box
(the class will tell this student which ones to move where. After
each word, make students give English equivalent for Spanish term.
2.PowerTeach, Slide 12, Fill in the Blanks. Each row will be responsible
for their corresponding number (eg. row 1 will complete number 1,
etc...) As a row, they will decide what goes in the blank and will
consequently TYPE it in the blank on the teacher computer. After
each group is finished, please click CHECK ANSWERS. If there is
a misspelling or missed accent mark, the program will count it wrong.
3.PowerTeach, slide 18 (Activity 3) Please call on a student to
organize the terms as the class directs them. Afterwards, click
CHECK ANSWERS

D. Independent Practice-
1.PowerTeach, Slide 19, This will be done independently and will
be recorded in students' notebooks. After 3 minutes, call on individuals
to answer one question at a time, once all are complete, click CHECK
