1. Topic-
Direct and Indirect Object Pronouns
 
2. Content-
Students will begin with an opening activity to review material covered yesterday and transition to direct and indirect object pronouns where they will take notes, work individually, then with a partner and engage in a closing activity with a partner.
 
3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.Students will review material covered on yesterday's test.
2. Students will learn about the direct object and indirect object pronouns.
3.Students will engage in both individual and partner activities in order to comprehend the new material being presented to them today.
 
4. Objectives-
1.Students will engage in a dialogue with their partners in order to review direct and indirect object pronouns.
2.Students will demonstrate an understanding of the new material by providing written evidence through an individual activity and a partner activity.
3. Students will produce and present a written and oral product in a culturally authentic way.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Students will need their Spanish notebook and handouts that will be provided to them by their teacher.
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Students will engage in a review warm-up covering yesterday's material: preterite and imperfect.
2. Students will take notes on direct and indirect object pronouns.
3.Students will engage in an individual and pair activity to review the new content.
 

B. Development-

1.Students will complete the warm-up individually and the teacher will go over it with the whole class.
2. Students will take notes and complete the review worksheet and the teacher will go over it after students have completed the assignment.
3.Students will participate in a two-step process with their partners and the teacher will go over each assignment thoroughly with them after it has been completed.
 

C. Practice-

1.Students will practice the new content individually by completing a small worksheet where they get to practice both direct and indirect object pronouns.
2.Students will engage in an oral acitivty with their partner reviewing the two types of pronouns.
3.Students will engage in a written activity with partner in order to review the two types of pronouns.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.Students will complete the warm-up on the preterite and imperfect.
2.Students will take notes on the two different pronouns.
3.Students will complete a handout on the two different pronouns.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.Teacher will repeat instructions for all assignments.
2.Teacher will provide concise notes that will be easy to understand as they will focus on key points.
3.Students are sitting in assigned seats in such a fashion where they have access to students who are doing well in the class and for their pair-work, they will have the opportunity to work with someone who will help them understand the material if questions arise.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.Teacher will ask questions to check for comprehension.
2.Teacher will provide assignments and check for comprehension after time has been given to complete the assignment.
3.Teacher will walk around and listen to the different oral partner acitivities and check for udnerstanding.
 

G. Closure-

1.Students will be able to participate in a closing activity with their partner.
2.Teacher will ask questions at the end to provode students with participation points and to check for understanding.
