2. 1.0204 interpret visual and auditory cues, such as pronunciation, gestures, accents, and intonation.

Overhead projector.
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1. Explain Foreign Language standard to students.
2. Discuss study aid can be used with other disciplines.
Assure students they can do this activity and will find it useful and fun.
3. Review pronounce and define vocabulary words together.
 

B. Development-

1.Explain tabulation
2.Explain directions
3.Teacher model while student score results.
 

C. Practice-

1.Teacher times students.
2.Teacher monitors students.
3.Assist in score tabulation.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.Students continue activity but trading roles.
2.Tabulate results.
3.Record and compare their results.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1. Extended time/ untimed activity
2. Student can point to words.
3. Words can be read from the bottom up, or right to left.
4. Colored paper for the activity.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.Ask students to raise hands if scores have improved.
2. Students raise hands if 3 points improvement, 4 points, improvement or more.
3.Assessment:informal/formative.
 

G. Closure-

1. Ticket out the door activity.
2.Announce summative quiz for tomorrow.
 
7. Evaluation-
1.Students were hard to get focused.
2.Scores and student ability was shown to have improved but activity was slow in starting due to student off task behavior.
 
8. Teacher Reflection-
I would do this lesson the same way, but I would tighten up the directions part and start sooner. I think people understand this activity better by doing the activity.
