Learn different action verbs in the English language. Every-day core vocabulary is expected to learn.

3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.Students will be able to memorize the different core vocabulary related to Action Verbs.
2.Students will be able to demonstrate the acquisition of those verbs by repeating and performing these verbs in front of the class.
3.Students will be able to enunciate these verbs correctly:
Distinguish between:
/b/ and /v/.
/i:/ and /I/.
/dZ/ and /tS/.

 
4. Objectives-
1. Students will be able to develop kenesthetic learning.
2. Speaking in front of the class is expected to see during the class.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Charts and Powerpoint "action verbs"
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.General questions to the students, such as "What do you think action verbs are?"
2.Introduction to English action verbs. Sentence like "verbs represent actions that people do" are incorporated.
3.Ask students about previous knowledge with the definition now incorporated.
 

B. Development-

1.The teacher will provide examples of the ones the he knows.
2. Introduction to the power point "Action verbs"
3.The teacher will perform those actions in front of the class so the students can perform in further activities.(demonstrate the core vocabulary)
 

C. Practice-

1.The teacher will ask the students to demonstrate these verbs by repeating his performance.
2.The teacher will ask the students the correct pronunciation of these verbs.
3.The teacher will be able to correct the mispronunciations.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1. Students will be able to recognize the action verbs shown in charts provided by the teacher.
2. Students will be able to say out-loud these verbs when they are asked to do so.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1. Students who excel in the acquisition of the activity will be able to help their other classmates with difficulties.
2. Another student will provide assistance to students with difficulties at the acquisition of the new core vocabulary
3.In case advanced students do not access to help other students, an extra set of work will be provided. This includes exercises with higher difficulties. Podcast provided by "British council" are included on this list.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.Students will be required to look up for more vocabulary.
2. Students will demonstrate these new vocabulary in front of the class.
 

G. Closure-

A summary of the different topics covered in the class will be provided.
