4. Objectives-
1.To understand what adjectives are.
2. To learn where to write adjectives in sentences.
3. To learn some kinds of adjectives.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Animal Flashcards, adjective cards,pritt tag, candies, bond paper, markers.
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Say good morning
2.Introduce myself
3.Make a TPR activity (Stand up, sit down, spin, jump, play, etc)
4. Sing the song "What's your name"
 

B. Development-

1.Ask Ss if they like animals.
2. Paste 5 animals on the board.
3.Choose an animal and say: "The rabbit is little" and write the word "Little under the animal. Say one more sentence using a different adjective.
4. Go to the next animal and ask for a sentence. Write the adjective a Ss says under the animal. Do the same with the rest of the animals.
5. Read the words written under each animal. And have Ss read them as well.
6. Ask Ss if they know how to call these words. If they know the answer ask them to define in their own words what an adjective is. Ask them where to write the adjective. Ask them if they know there are different kinds of adjectives.
 

C. Practice-

1.Ask 5 Ss to go to the front and give them a flashcard.
2.Model the activity by saying: I'm a goat and I'm white. Then ask SS to do the same.
3. Choose 5 more SS and give them a flashcard. Then say two adjectives to describe an animal and the Ss with the described animal will jump.As other Ss to say 2 adjectives as well.
4. Play a game:Divide the group in teams.Place some adjective cards o the board. Put the animal Flashcards in a black bag and then take out one of them. Ss will have to take a suitable adjective for each animal. The first one in doing it will get a point.
5. Give each Ss an adjective card and tell them to go to the front in case they have an adjective for "how many, color, shape, size, that compares".
 

D. Independent Practice-

In teams Ss will answer two exercises. Then they'll share their answers with the rest of the group.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

As I don't know the group Ss will be working in teams so they can help each other.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

I'll be monitoring while they answer their exercises.
 

G. Closure-

1.Once we've checked their answers I will as for volunteers to fill in the next:
a)Today we learnt about___________.
b)Adjectives are the words that describe a ___________.
c)There are different kinds of adjectives such as________________________.
2. Say good bye.
