A. Introduction-
1. Introduce apple (realia)
Teacher will allow students to touch, smell, feel and taste apple.
2. Teacher will assist students on writing their descriptive words
on sticky note.

B. Development-
Teacher: How can we describe the apple?
Teacher will model using a descriptive word to describe the apple
and write it on a sticky note
|

C. Practice-
Teacher will guide students to think and give descriptive words
to describe apple.
Students: Will give descriptive words?
Teacher: will assist students on spelling and writing words. |

D. Independent Practice-
Teacher: Will give students a graphic organizer
Students: Will color the apple in the middle of the organizer.
Students: Will write in 4-5 descriptive words about apple. |

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
Wolverine group will return to group table and compose 2-3 sentences
using descriptive words.
Student: Lulu will need highlighted words to be able to copy.
Wonder-woman and Bat-man group will continue to work with teacher
in front of class. (Use sentence starter to compose sentences) |

F. Checking for understanding-
1.Teacher will monitor students for understanding by observing their
participation and their expressive and receptive skills.
2. Ability to write descriptive words in the graphic organizer.
3. Ability to compose a sentence using; sentence starter/write sentence
independently. |

G. Closure-
Discuss with students how their words are adjectives that we use
to describe and make our sentences more colorful.
