|
A. Introduction-
1.Introduce the five different sentence types |
|
|
B. Development-
1.Explain how each one is different
2.Write all five types on the board allowing students to see the differences
3.Show how each different sentence type is graphed/diagrammed |
|
|
C. Practice-
Write several sentences on the board and lead the students step
by step through the diagramming process. |
|
|
D. Independent Practice-
Give the students their own set of sentences to have them able and
diagram.

|
E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
1.Give less sentences.
2.Give more examples on the top of the handout. |

F. Checking for understanding-
1.Look at the student's work.
2.Have volunteers diagram the sentences on the board.
3.Write a new sentence on the board and ask the students to lead you
through the diagramming process. |

G. Closure-
Go back over the differences between the five different types of
sentences. |

7. Evaluation-
|
1.Ask students to diagram sentences that they make up.
2.Have them diagram one of each kind. |
