markers
chart paper with the song lyrics on them

6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
1. Ask students to recall what a noun is from the previous lesson.
2. Teach the students a song to remember what a noun is.(to the tune of Polly Wolly Doodle)
Oh let's look around for some naming for words for persons and places and things.
Oh a noun is a name
Yes a noun is a name
for a person or a place or a thing
It's a noun. It's a noun. It's the name of anything.

3.Write one thing on each circle.

C. Practice-
1.Place students in 6 groups, one for each color.
2. Tell students that their group is to write on each circle a noun is the color of their circle.

1 Can you tell me a person? (put on a cloud to go at one end of the rainbow)
2. Can you tell me a place that you know?(put on a cloud to go at the other end of the rainbow)

1. Circulate around the groups to ask questions to guide the students to what things they could write on their circles.
