6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1. Prompt students with a question regarding a recent activity
2. From one of their answers, write out a basic sentence and refresh students with basic sentence parts- noun, verb, adjective, adverb...
3. Emphasize the verb, redefine as an action word
 

B. Development-

1. Proceed with discussion of the simple tenses- past, present and future
2. Show how to come up with the basic verb forms and give examples for each tense
3. Demonstrate practical usage in simple sentences
4. Proceed with discussion of the continuous tenses- past, present and future
5. Show how to come up with the basic verb forms and give examples for each tense
6. Demonstrate practical usage in simple sentences
7. Highlight the difference between simple tense and continuous tense
 

C. Practice-

1. Allow students to read out sample sentences in the checkup activity while supplying the appropriate verb tenses
