6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
students already have all materials needed and assign. sheet. Their
goal is to create a front page "fairytale" newspaper. |

B. Development-
Today they must complete fairytale news stories and turn into you
with event map and inverted pyramid organizer. |
|
|
C. Practice-
1.identify what happened, who was involved, when, where, why it
happened and how it happened on event map.
2. order events from most important (at top) to least important on
inverted pyramid organizer sheet.
3.write stories with fact following pyramid order and stay within
word count listed on assign. sheet.
4.take turns looking for graphics on Internet that will go will story
and typing final stories - save to digital folders.

Closure-
1.Have all students turn in: event map worksheet, inverted pyramid
worksheet, and typed print out of their news story.

Block 2 journalism 1 needs to complete this lesson plan.

need to turn in is their "Article Topic" sheet: ask Editor Emily Mesel
