3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
|
The goal of this theme is to introduce basic vocabulary and sentence
patterns that have to do with traveling and shopping. In Kindy and
Level 1 we will focus on learning the basic vocabulary and sentence
patterns, answering the questions outlined above. Level 2 students
will be introduced to some extended vocabulary and sentence patterns
above. |

4. Objectives-
|
The objective of this theme is to have students be comfortable when
using the vocabulary and sentence patterns. This is a somewhat basic
theme, and students should try to feel accustomed to the vocabulary
which will help them explain basics of travel/shopping. L2 students
will review L1 and expand their vocabulary. Sentence patterns will
be introduced, aimed at combining words into sentences and connecting
ideas. |

6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
Explore students' prior knowledge of travel (and shopping). Review
with Level 2. Use that as a start to the theme. Where did you travel?
How did you get there? |

B. Development-
Introduce sentence patterns. Review the vocabulary, while using
sentence patterns. Encourage speaking in complete sentences. |
|

C. Practice-
Practice speaking using sentence patterns and writing using dictation
and work books. Students individually go to the board and name all
that's in the flashcards. |

D. Independent Practice-

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
Spend more time with students who fall behind, if there is time. |
