1.To identify the Author's reason for writing a piece.
2.To identify the Author's attitude about a subject.
3.To write a persuasive essay.
4.To write an informative piece.
5. To write a fictional story for entertainment.
4. Objectives-
1.My students will be able to read a paper/story and identify the author's purpose for writing the story/article accurately 90% 0f the time.
2.My students will be able to
read a selection and identify how the author feels about the subject correctly 85% 0f the time.
3. My students will write 1 informative piece, 1 persuasive piece and 1 entertaining work of fiction using good sentence/paragraph structure and proper grammar and punctuation and achieving at least a grade of 80% using the attached rubric for grading purposes.

3 PPT presentations on Purpose and Point of View.

6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.I will explain to my students that we will be beginning a series of lessons meant to help them understand the concepts of author's purpose and point of view. Explain that under standing these concepts will assist them in there reading of different kinds of literature.
2.Show PPT's, 3 of them, at the beginning of the first three lessons
3.Do the introductory exercise in the first lesson plan #1
