3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.Students will be able to correctly label and diagram the different parts of speech.
2.Students will be abler to recite word meaning and spelling for lesson 3 words.
3.Students will use notes and copy of Don Quixote to respond to critical thinking questions and become inquisitive about themes and concepts.

4. Objectives-
1.Grammar - Students will have a diagramming and labeling Adverbs test in which they will pull prior and previous knowledge of parts of speech.
2.Vocabulary - Students will take time to review words before activity.
3.Reading Instruction - Students will recall information from the previous days reading

Don Quixote - copy of text
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Grammar - recitation
2.Vocabulary - review lesson 3 words.
3. Reading Instruction - Get out Don Quixote packet with notes.
 

B. Development-

1. Grammar - administer tests and answer any questions
2. Vocabulary- Review activity for vocabulary
3. Reading Quixote - Read Don Quixote as a class and then high light major events and story plots for analysis and enhancement of critical thinking skills.
 

C. Practice-

1. Grammar - Collect tests
2. Vocabulary - Students will be given a number and I will call out the number and ask spelling questions as well as say the definition of lesson 3 words.
3. Reading Instruction - write an ending to the story, Don Quixote, and share with the class.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1. Grammar - answer any additional questions
2.Vocabulary - answering the questions correctly and earning a prize
3. Reading Instruction - after discussing Don Quixote, students will complete a 10 question quiz on the reading as an open notes reading quiz.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

7. Evaluation-
Sometimes students are chatty - try to take care of that as soon as I can and make sure to set aside extra reading time if students need to catch up in class.
 
8. Teacher Reflection-
This lesson is meant to engage students but also test their knowledge and skill levels.
