Dr. Seuss - rhyming and poetry -loyalty - animals - teasing and bullying - friendship - dependability - imagination and daydreaming - respect - democracy
 
3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1. Provide students with opportunity to experience a live theater production.
2. Have students relate the classic Dr. Suess works to what they see.
 
4. Objectives-
1. SWBAT compare and contrast Dr. Suess play to written works.
2. SWBAT recall events from a story.
 
5. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

Students will begin reading Dr. Seuss books in March and talking about different aspects of the stories, i.e rhyming and poetry, friendship, imagination, and much more.
2. Students will do a variety of projects related to Dr. Suess.
 

B. Development-

Students will do a variety of projects related to Dr. Suess.
 

C. Practice-

Watch play 'Suessical'
 

D. Checking for understanding-

Students will discuss how the play was like the books that they have read previously.
 

E. Closure-

Students will watch the movie "Horton Hears a Who"
