A. Introduction-
1.Ask the question-What is the plot of this story?
2.Ask the question-What is the theme of the story?
3.Let's read the story and find out if that is the correct plot and
theme. |

B. Development-
1.Discuss after reading the plot is the series of events that happen
during the storm.
2.Discuss after reading the theme is the importance of helping each
other during a storm. |

C. Practice-
1.Have children go back to the book and find supportive text for
the plot and for the theme. |

D. Independent Practice-
1.Go over worksheet instructions |

1.Allow for nondependent learners to join you at the group work
