Develop interest in autobiographies. Search and explore background
knowledge on autobiographies. Point out different features of a autobiography.
Understand context vocabulary words to be applied in every day language
usage. |

identify features of a autobiography. Apply knowledge for a simple
autobiography. Understand and use vocabulary words in everyday English
sentences. |

6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
Students will be asked to give information on what is an autobiography?
How do you know? What is the difference between a biography and an
autobiography? |
|
|
B. Development-
students will be asked to write down the points that make up an
autobiography. all ideas are then written on the board. make an agreement
as to what is a good definition for an autobiography. Students will
then be asked to name famous singers, who they know of whom have had
autobiographies written. I will then ask if any of the students have
heard, read, seen or know of Alice B. Toklas |

C. Practice-
vocabulary words will be introduced in simple sentences in order
to be able to start identifying vocabulary words within the autobiography
and start defining words. |

Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
The students will work in groups. Working as a group, gives the
student to interact, use and correct vocabulary usage in the classroom. |
|
|
Checking for understanding-
Students will be given the opportunity to share information. |
|
|
Closure-
The student will retrace with the teacher the different points or
features of an autobiography and attempt to use the vocabulary words
in sentences. |

|
7. Evaluation-
|
Walking around the classroom and talking to the students, I can
work on assessing how they apply their new vocabulary words with the
subject of what an autobiography is. |
