B. Development-

1.Begin with the first three strategies (many should have this done without difficulty although a reminder to skim/scan for unknown vocabulary may be necessary)

2.Teacher will read the first "chunk" aloud.

3.Teacher will model the "summary" and "purpose".

7. Evaluation-
1.Are students able to use all five close reading strategies on their own?

2.Are student comprehension task grades showing improvement?

8. Teacher Reflection-

Which students are not able to use all of the strategies effectively?(note which strategies they are successful with)

Check comprehension data to determine if students are showing improvement in this area.
