students will be placed in pairs and instructed to choose a topic
that they feel passionate about turning into a short documentary trailer

|
B. Development-
1.Examples of trailers from last year will be shown

brief lesson on Imovie with the students

C. Practice-
1. In pairs, students will begin to build their trailer in class.
I will circulate to help them and will also have a technology specialist
come by to check in for any Imovie questions I can't answer
|

D. Independent Practice-
1. Students will independently build their Imovie trailers. They
will be given time to explore what features work best for them.

Imovie. I iwll check their storyboard before giving them the "ok"
to move ahead.

presenting it to the class.
3. Students will present their final Imovie trailer to the class receiving
written feedback from me on presentation, purpose, and theme |

G. Closure-
1. As a class we will discuss the distinct themes and purposes of
each trailer
2. As a class we will discuss "why does it matter," reflecting an
understanding of the power of media to send and spread a message and
affect change. |
