2. Students have to complete 3 formative assessments in the class
3. All students must achieve requirement of standard criterion in this period at 80%

1.To make students can distinguish between "general" and "specific" terms
2. To use mastery skill-based drills on students for support on lesson

- 3 levels of formative assessment: 1) Beginner 2) Intermediate 3) Advance

6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1. Teacher introduces lesson of how to find main idea
2. Teacher explains the first step of how to find main idea is to find topics
3. Teacher announces to the students about quizzes during the class
 

B. Development-

1. Teacher reviews on lesson topic of "general" and "specific" terms
2. Teacher gives first quiz (beginner level formative assessment)
3. Teacher checks on individual's work during the formative assess,emt
 

C. Practice-

1. Mastery skill-based drills
2. Content description sheet
3. 3 levels of formative assessments
 

D. Independent Practice-

1. Students who pass the beginner level formative test will be moved on to intermediate level and advance level
2. Student who does not achieve the criteria of the test will be provided peer tutoring from the instructor or students who master the tests in this class period
3. Students who pass each level of formative test will review what they have learned in this period, and give peer tutoring to other students who have not passed the test yet
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.Instructor provides peer tutoring to students who do not pass the test

2. Students help each other as a peer tutoring to help themselves pass each level of the test in the class
3.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1. Criterion is set at 80% of the score on each level of formative assessment
2. Instructor gives feedback on students' test and provide correction to allow the students meet the test's criterion
3. Students who already pass all levels of the test will review the content again in order to not forget what they have learned
 

G. Closure-

1. Instructor collects all formative tests from the students
2. Instructor explains about the topic for the next lesson
 
7. Evaluation-
1. Students check the score on each test as they have to meet the criterion of 80%
2. Each level of the test's score is at 10 points
 
8. Teacher Reflection-
Instructor keeps the formative tests scores for the record.
